Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
The following conclusions can be inferred based on the
semen analysis report you have enclosed.
1. Colour should be ideally whitish or slight yellow, but is grey white.
2. Liquification is delayed, as normally should happen by 30 minutes.
3. Viscosity is also more than normal as it is indicating highly viscous.
4. Volume and pH seems to be fine with 2.5 ml and 8.0.
5. Microscopy showing few WBCs and RBCs could indicate the presence of infection.
6.
Sperm motility seems to be less than normal with sluggishly motile and non-motile forms being more in %.
Ideally, semen after liquification should be clear with no agglutination or clumping. Since it is seen here, the reasons could be due to the presence of sperm
antibodies. Agglutinated sperm clump together in huge masses and would be unable to migrate through the
cervix and uterus, leading to
male infertility. The extent of this is determined by amount of agglutination and mobility % of the sperms.
Administration of antibiotics to cure infection, along with
vitamin E and
vitamin C supplements are known to reduce clumping.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
