What Do Red Spots On The Feet Indicate?

My mother, 97 years old, has cold skin - cold hands but forehead normal - and purple (dark red or purple) feet.
She is on medication to reduce fluid buildup in her lungs and takes a heart pill once each day, plus a water reduction pill twice each day. I am worried, what should I do? Thank you.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Cold hands indicate low blood circulation. But if her skin is normal color in her hands, but just cold, then you don't need to worry about. She just needs to keep moving and do things as much as she can. For the rest, I would not recommend that you make changes in her medications. Her problems are serious and need to be followed up and reevaluated by a local specialist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
