What Do Abdominal Bloating And Excessive Gas Indicate?
My symptons include:
Abdominal bloating/distention
Excessive gas/burping
Diahera/constipation
Thirsty
Cold
Tired
Rapid weight loss (when this started) and continue to be thin no matter what I eat
This has been going on for more than a year. I recently went to my doctor and she sent me to have blood test, urine test and a pelvic/abdominal ultrsound. All tests came back normal. Now she is sending me to a specialist to have a colonoscopy done.
I get lots of exercise, I take care of myself pretty well. But I do smoke and drink often.
If you have any suggestions of what I have, I would appreciate it so much. Thanks you.

The various causes of abdominal bloating are as Overeating, Gastric distension
Lactose intolerance, Irritable bowel syndrome, Diverticulitis, Celiac Disease.
Since you are giving history of weight loss along with diarrhea / constipation alternatively. This shows that you might have some problem in your colon. I think your doctor is planning to do colonoscopy keeping in mind the possibility of Diverticulosis.
Similarly possibility of Colon cancer can't be ruled out. I think you must get MRI done of colon as well. This will help in reaching at final diagnosis.
