Will Laxative Taken For Constipation Result In Abdominal Bloating?
I am trying to relieve constipation before tomorrow, but am concerned the laxative I have on hand will casue abdominal bloating. I seem to be very prone to bloating...so I am concerned I will be all "puffed up" after taking this. In your expertise, can Dulcolax cause abdominal bloating? Thanks.. :-)

Laxatives, like most medications, have a list of side effects that may occur after use. Bloating is one of these side effects.
When you take a laxative, it diminishes water supplies in your body, causing dehydration. This water retention results in bloating. I suggest you take Simethicone medicine.
