Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

What about the consistency of stool when passed otherwise - any loose stools or frequent stools? Any mucus or blood in stools? Depending on above symptoms, this might suggest a gastroenteritis or proctitis needing antibiotic treatment. If no such symptoms, we can wait for 2-3 days to settle, and proceed further accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
