Hi there, i have bruising on my upper right arm, that developed with no injury. underneath is a hard lump and the bruising has started to spread over the past week (developing for about 11 days). It isn't painful, and not particularly warm compared to the surrounding tissue.

Hello,
Spontaneous bruising is usually caused by some type of blood disorder.
Spontaneous bruising may also be caused by the use of certain prescription medications, which cause the blood to thin and make the body more susceptible to bruising.

Thus you need to do the following investigations to find out any blood disorder.
Full Blood count
Platelet count
Morphology of platelets
Clotting and Bleeding time
In addition, Other thrombin times

With these investigations, We can rule out blood disorder.

Hope this helps.
