What Could Have Caused Blurred Vision And Dizziness In A Pregnant Woman?

I am 39 weeks pregnant and this afternoon I had about an hour whereby my vision seemed not so much blurred as it was like I had a huge circle inthe way of seeing straight. Never had anything like that before...was dizzy as well. I laid down and it cleared. What could have caused this?

Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.

This is related to blood pressure changes, poor return of blood back to the heart from your lower extremities and likely positional changes. This is very common in pregnancy and is called "postural hypotension" and causes the symptoms you are describing. Regardless, you need to contact your OB doctor to update them on your symptoms in case they want you to be seen.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
