What Could Excess Vaginal Bleeding With Loss Of Weight Suggest?

I am 61 years old. I ve been having vaginal bleeding the past 2 years. Recently I have been losing weight without trying (around 15 pounds). I also have lack of appetite and the only food that I love to eat is cherry tomatoes with ranch dressing. A nurse friend of mine told me that losing weight without trying is one of the symptoms of cancer.

well in a way , your friend is right , because , any form of vaginal bleeding after attaining menopause is suspected to be caused by cervical or endometrial cancer unless proved otherwise.
i suggest please meet your gynae and get a PAP SMEAR done , if any growth detected on cervix, even a punch biopsy may be taken , and then an endometrial biopsy from the uterus if on ultrasound pelvis the endometrial thickness is found to be more than 3mm in case of menopausal women.
this shall screen you for cervical and endometrial cancer. regards.
