What Could Delayed Periods Despite Taking IPill After Unprotected Intercourse Indicate?
hello sir, i had unprotected sex with my bf on 6th may. but i took an iPill in less than 20 hrs. last month i had my periods on 27th april so this month it was likely to start by 23rd may. i am feeling very scared as i have taken iPill before and my periods normally started in a week of taking it. but this time it hasn t yet started. pls advise me on what to do.
Hello dear Understand your concern Chance of pregnancy is less as you taken I pill with in 24 hour of intercourse. Sometime i pill can cause hormonal imbalance that lead to delayed period. If period is delayed by 10 days from normal period date, you have to go for pregnancy confirmation by blood HCG or by USG scan because it is more accurate than pregnancy kit. So wait for period to come. Mean while take proper rest, stretching exercise and relaxation exercise, take healthy diet, avoid stress, take fruits like orange, papaya and pine apple. Hope this may help you Best regards Dr. Sagar
