What Could Constant Thumb Twitching In People With Heart Problems Indicate?

My thumb started twitching yesterday and is still twitching today. I have had involuntary twitches before from some of my body parts - however, it has never lasted this long before. I have heart problems and I am on medication for such problems including Warfarin but I have been on these medications since January of 2007. Do I need to be worried about this thumb twitching?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi There

I understand your concern as you are already have a heart issue. For your information I want to tell you that in some patients Warfarin do cause twitching or tingling sensation, usually it's not that troublesome to warrant the stop of warfarin. I would like to advise you to take multivitamin capsule bed time for 2 weeks and see if it benefits you and if not and if your twitching you is bothering you to much you can consult your cardiologist regarding switching from warfarin to Dabigatran.

Wish you Good Health
