What Could Cause Yellow Orange Nasal Discharge?

I'm trying to find out what's causing a yellow orange liquid to run out of my nose after bending over, and sometimes it smells like ammonia. It's been going on for a day and I was sick with a cold ten days ago. Any suggestions. For what it is and what to do about it?

Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have gone through your query and I can understand your concerns.

The short clinical history you have provided suggest the possibility of acute sinusitis.
I suggest you to consult an ENT specialist and get the following things done:-
1.A short course of antibiotics like levofloxacin for five to seven days.
2.You can take acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain and fever.
3.Antihistamines like cetrezine provide symptomatic relief.
4.Use nasal decongestants like xylometazoline for blockrd nostrils.
5.Do steam inhalation twice a day.
If symptoms persist despite all these, additional investigations like CT scan may be needed as advised by your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.

Regards.
