What Could Cause Ulcer On Lip After Having Oral Sex?

Hi Doc,
20 Days back I had sex with a Sex worker, I used condom (all fine) but what I did was ; I Licked her pusy for 1 to 2 min with my tunge. That time while I was licking; I had a very small (not burning, almost in final stage) Ulcer on my lip.

But now I'm scared.. I dont have any cuts on my tunge.. Do I still have a chance to get HIV....

'My major tension is because of the small ULCER on my lip which I had during my sex'

since 20 days I did not have any Cold, Rash, Fever, Sore throat, I'm feeling perfectly fine.

But this tension is killing me. currently i'm in london and here I have seen some information on 'HIV DUO' testing in 28 days period.

Do you people want me to take that test in london?

Please clarify me Doctor... I'm very much worrying about this..

Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Unprotected Oral sex with a commercial sex worker (csw) is a risk factor for STD's.
Oral sex can transmit gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis and herpes and even HIV. Oral sex is generally considered to be safe in terms of HIV but this not the case always.
HIV is a risk if either of the sexual partners engaged in oral sex has active sores, ulcers because there will be an exchange of blood which increases the risk of transmission of HIV.
Since in your case the ulcer was almost healed therefore the risk is not great but it would be better to get yourself tested for your own peace of mind.
Therefore, you may take an HIV DUO test at 1 month.

Regards
