What Could Cause Sore Throat?
My son is 9 yrs old and he's been on paracetamol for 3 days because of fever ..And Actifed syrup for his dry cough. The doctor checked his chest and found it clear .No infection in his throat either.The Doctor said the fever could be because of the change in weather temperatures (since we live in malta winter is on the doorstep ) Today my son is complaining of sore throat. Temperatures are stable today (3rd day) but last night it was 102.4. Should I worry or it has to take time .If i know he has a viral or bacterial infection i can understand why there's fever but im confused now with my doctor saying he has nothing wrong .Thankyou. Last time you visited your doctor he dint have sore throat,
Now I feel its viral pharyngities,he also had high grade fever,I recommend you to take antipyritic doses you have,do warm saline gargles,take some anti histaminic like levocitrizine,
it will help,please take an ent opinion on it.
