What Could Cause Severe Burning Urination After Having Sex?

Sir, After sex I am not able to urinate smoothly & atleast it takes 10-15 mins to urinate with severe burning sensation.Sometimes I was not able to control urine and having urine frequently atleast 8 to 9 times in an hour.I have done ultrasound and reports are normal.pls suggest me what to do.

Thanks for writing in.

By ultrasound scan, the urinary bladder and kidneys are evaluated. It might be that you are having a spasm of the muscles in the region. The muscles causing urination go into spasm due to sexual activity and get back to normal soon after about 10 to 15 minutes. This is not a problem or sign of any sexual infections.

You have not mentioned clearly under what condition do you urinate 8 - 9 times an hour. This may need a urine culture examination.
