What Could Cause Headache?

I had a stroke 2011, lately I have been getting light headaches in the back of my head. this morning the piercing throbbing was in the front above my right eye brow. Since my stroke I am so afraid of having another one. Should these headaches that are starting to become more frequent be of concern? If so what should I do?

Hello dear,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
Old stroke should not result in headache as a sequaele. However, sometimes associated factors may cause headache like if the stroke is associated with high blood pressure or if the old stroke was a subarachnoid hemorrhage and it was associated with aneurysm.
However, the headache you are having is a kind of episodic headache and site(at the back and the front above brow) is more indicative of a primary headache like stress headache.
Still, not to take chances you should get your blood pressure checked and discuss with your neurologist to get the follow up CT scan of brain.
I hope it helps.
