What Could Cause Fetal Growth Restriction?

HI, I was pregnant 3 times and all the time there was no proper fetal development and that leads to D&C. Is there any specific reason why it is happening. In First time pregnancy, miscarried automatically before the first scan [9 weeks]. Second time there was no fetal pole[10 weeks]. Third time fetal pole was there and heartbeat came for 2 weeks then it got reduced and stopped in few weeks [12 weeks]. Any reason?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

There are various causes to such a presentation and so the cause in youe case will have to be found and addressed, causes for intra-uterine growth retardation (IUGR) can be any of the following:
-Hormonal insufficiency
-Medications
-Underlying chronic conditions like hypertension, pre-eclampsia, etc
-Smoking, alcohol or drug abuse
-Infections transmitted to the baby like toxoplasmosis, etc.
