What Could Cause Delayed Periods, Fatigue, Bloating, Nausea And Mood Swings With History Of Having Tubal Ligation?

I am 3 days late on my period, last month I had 2 periods Jan 6th and again Jan 28th. I have been tired, bloated, nausea, heartburn, tender enlarged breasts, and mood swings. I had a tubal ligation 8yrs ago. I took a home pregnancy test and it was negative, so what else could it be?

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.

As your pregnancy tests are negative and already had tubal ligation, these symptoms could be due to Premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
PMS symptoms and early pregnancy symptoms can be similar, and it can be hard for you to distinguish between the two.
The easiest way to find out if you’re pregnant is to take a home pregnancy test.
As your HPT is negative nothing to worry about pregnancy.

You have to understand that missed period with HPT positive are the confirmed signs of pregnancy.

These Premenstrual syndrome symptoms nothing but indicate that you are about to ovulate.
As you have irregular periods, it is difficult for you to predict the time of ovulation.

There is no cure for premenstrual syndrome (PMS), but there are treatments that can help you manage your symptoms so they do not interfere with your daily life.

My advice is to treat the irregular periods by taking regular Oral contraceptive pills. This not only helps in regularizing your period but also helpful in Premenstrual symptoms.

Hope this helps.

Wishing you good health.
