What Could Cause Burping Post A Pacemaker-defib Insert In Elderly?
Ihad pacemaker-defib put in 5 days ago..I notice i have had some burping off and on is this a common thing after this type surgery? My Dr says I should take coreg for the cardiomyopathy but every time I have tried to take it in the past i seem to be allergic to it..why cant i take another drug? or good natural vitimins and herbs that will make the heart muscle stronger? I am 71 years old weigh 163 and 5'7 1/2..Ihad an ablation for wolf parkinson white syndrome 2 months ago...while taking coreg before i gained about 20 lbs.and my arthrits got worse
Hello and thank you for your question. It is common to have burping after any type of surgery. It is just your stomach adjusting the the medications and anesthesia of the surgery. There are other medications such as metoprolol that you might be able to take instead of the coreg. The best supplements to take to support your heart are a multivitamin, CoQ10 and fish oil Regards
