What Could Blank Spots On Pelvic Ultrasound Suggest?

I have been having major pain in my pelvic area for about 3 weeks. I went and got a pelvic ultrasound. Their was was looked like a blank spot on the ultrasound and the technician said it could be a fibrous tumor. The scans got sent to my doctor and she said everything looked fine. My mom (whos a nurse), the technician, and I saw it. What else could it be?

welcome to Health care magic.
1.Yes fibroid looks in black colour ( hypo echoic ) also in hyper echoic ( white ) and mixed.
2.But as you said the doctor interpreted as normal, means the technician might have mistaken by normal uterine myometrium.
3.If every thing appears normal in pelvic scan then the cause might be UTI or bowel pathology.
4.you can ask a query with detail symptoms ( bowel / urine / periods and so on).
5.That will help us to serve you in best way - good luck.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
