What Could Be The Reason To Get A Major Headache With Nausea And Blacking Out In A 89 Yr Old?
My 89 year old father experienced a major headache with nausea and was blacking out but did not faint. This happened last evening and through out the night. Today he feels better but has been resting in bed all day. He just visited his primary care physician for extreme fatigue which he's had for quite some time and no one Can come up with any answers. He is going to have lab work done this week. He does have aerial fibrillation and recently had an echo cardio gram . He was told that the heart muscle is strong. I suggested going to the emergency room but he said he felt better. I'm concerned about this. He never gets headaches or fainting spells.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. Your father aged 89 years had a severe head ache, and a feeling of fainting. next day he has recovered but had severe fatigue. Usually after a severe head ache, one feels fatigue and weak like fever. The reason for the severe head ache may be the the hypertension, anxiety, or sinusitis, ischemia of brain etc. I advise you to consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. He may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
