What Could Be The Reason For The Repeated Fever For Which Doxycycline Was Taken During The First Attack?

i have had a fever and blood work came back all fine. FEver workup and also physical workup. lots of blood work. dr gave me doxycylcine and was fine for 10 days...10 days after i finished i woke up one day with another fever. is this related to the first fever or something completly different?

Hi,

The very first thing you should discuss with your doctor is the cause of high fever. Usually, infection of any type is associated with fever. As you have noticed by yourself, you've been fine after taking a course of doxycycline for 10 days.

So, as long as you find out the source of infection, you should also run further tests to re-evaluate your current situation together with repeating another course of antibiotics.

With regards to the two fevers being related, I should first get to know what type of infection (diagnosis) you have while on first fever?
