What Could Be The Reason For Having Swollen Tonsils?

Hi. My five year old has swollen tonsils, and you can see the blood vessels in them. I had a look because she has been coughing for a few weeks now. She's not constantly coughing, just gives the odd single cough here and there, and it doesn't seem to be at night. She doesn't complain about her throat hurting, but if I ask her, she says it hurts a bit sometimes..

hello. i do'nt think you have to worry , children will generally have enlarged tonsils, but these will decrease gradually as the age progresses. just ask your daughter to gargle with warm salt water 3-4 times a day, that will help. thanks
