What Could Be The Reason For Having Blood In Urine For A Diabetes Patient?

My mother is 86 yrs old she has blood noticed in the adult diaper but mixed with urine. Blood appears too be red and not blackish or brown. She is diabetic since last 35 yrs but her sugar level is in control. What can be the reason of bleeding. Thanks

Hi,
Any bleeding from urinary tract or from bowels at this age requires evaluation.
Consult surgeon and get examined.
Routine urine check up and ultra sound of abdomen will give some clue about her problem.
