What Could Be The Reason For Having Blood In Stool?

my 2 yr old daughter has passed a few stools in the last several days with blood in them but it looks like it is mixed into the stool not just on the outside> there are no other symptoms and she has not had any red or purple food or juice in over a week. she does pass anywhere from 2-4 hard stools a day they look like soft rocks molded together. what could this be?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi
I read carefully all your daughter concerns and I am sorry for her.
With regards to blood in her stools it could be related with
1. bowel infection ( viral or bactreial)
2.bowel polipe

She need to be evaluated as soon as possible with:
-specialist physical examination( pediatrician gastroenterologist),
-fecal analysis ( coproculture and fecal leukocytes)
-blood work
Best regards
Dr.Sonila
