What Could Be The Creamy Looking Discharge Almost Like A Puss On My Tampon?

I had a tampon fall out when i used the bathroom. The problem is, i havent had my period so its likely to have been there for about 3 weeks almost. Now i noticed i have a creamy looking discharge almost like puss but i dont necessarily feel irritated. Ive googled it and it seems that the body cleanses itself and for the most part once the tampon is out everything whould get better. so im wondering how long i should wait before i see the dr? Also, idk about the smell because it fell in the toilet but the cookies seeks to smell better already!

Hi,

You are lucky to have survived a tampon 3 weeks inside with no significant toxic symptoms. If you have slightest discharge, fever and pain then going to doctor immediately is the best thing to do and taking an antibiotic course is the right management. A tampon should not be left inside for more than 6 hours and it may cause toxic shock syndrome which can be a threat to your life.
