What Could Be The Cause Of Sharp, Intermittent, Stabbing Pains Between Shoulders Which Lasts For A Few Seconds?

My husband has been having sharp, intermittent stabbing pains between his shoulders over the last week or so. They only last a few seconds 20-30 seconds each, but they bring him to a screaming halt no matter what he is doing. He is a big guy and it takes a lot to stop him.

Hi,
From history it seems that he might be having myalgia giving rise this pain.
But seeing nature and type of pain any cardiac ailment should be ruled out.
Go for EKG for having any coronary insufficiency.
If he is elderly then possibility of having cervical spondilitis we should keep in mind.
Ok and take care.
