What Could Be The Cause Of Redness And Stinging Pain In Eyes?

The white part of my eye above the iris has a lot of red veins treating downward into the iris. It has a stinging like pain. I first noticed it yesterday morning after putting in my contact lense, I felt a bad stinging pain that subsided within 5 minutes so. Ignored it. Lat night when I took out my contacts it came back for a couple minutes(the pain). Then it went away only for me to wake up this morning with it again. It has not stopped stinging since I woke up....what do I do?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having redness and stinging sensation in the eye. Since you are wearing contact lenses this may indicate contact lens related infection or allergy. This requires treatment by the use of antibiotic eye drops or anti-allergic drugs depending on the cause. The use of contact lenses should be stopped till the eye condition is resolved.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
