What Could Be The Cause Of Orange Discharge After Using Ear Drops In Child With Tubes Inserted?

My 13 month old son had tubes inserted into his ears 3 months ago. This morning he had yellow green discharge coming out of his ears. I called the ent and they prescribed ear drops. A few hours later orange colored discharge started coming out of his left ear. I gave him the drops, but what does orange colored discharge indicate?

I have gone through your query regarding orange colored discharge from ear of your child.

As you said that your child had already being inserted tube in his ears about thee months back, and suddenly he developed yellowish green pus from ear. This discharge had turn to orange colored after use of ear drop.

This orange color in discharge is indicative of infection. Now I would like to tell you that you should do- Culture and sensitivity of ear pus to identify the infecting organism and also to find out most sensitive antibiotic to get excellent response.
