What Could Be The Cause Of High Heart Rate When At Resting?

My heart has been flop-flopping & racing more often than not the past few months. My resting heart rate has been a steady 103 & while running, it'll shoot up around 200-201. I'm a 5'1, 178 active white female and I want to know if I should have this looked into?

Hello,
Normal heart rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute. 103 bpm is defined as tachycardia in healthy adults.
Substances like caffeine can increase the heart rate over the normal range. On the contrary physical activity lowers the heart rate at rest.
If you don`t find any change in your daily activity that can justify the tachycardia, I think you should seek medical advice.
