What Could A Hardened Lump In Arm With Shooting Pain Indicate?

My grams is 87 yrs and she has this lump under her arm bottom of trycep is been there 4 awhile about 3 months or so she has been complaining how it hurts real bad I hv been putting cream on it to try to take some of her pain away but not wking,today I noticed it is real hard. she cant even pick up a glass of water,says theres a sharp pain runs all the way to her finger tips. what should we do Last wed she lost her hearing 4 a couple of hrs. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Hard lump causing shooting pain could be a neural tumor.
2. Get an FNAC done to identify the type of lesion. Inflammation would have been painful. It is more possibly a neoplastic lesion.
3. Based on FNAC report, further opinion is possible. Also take calcium supplements. It could be helpful.
