What Causes Yellow Slimey Discharge During Pregnancy?

Hi im 27 weeks pregnant and ive had this yellow slimey discharge for the past month and a half and all my dr says, its mucuos but he isnt sayin anything else hes completly insane and i wish i could switch him but its to late in my pregnancy he said i was at high risk but i was told the fetal fibronecton test cant be done until 28weeks he did it at 24. So im curious to if this is something i should worry about??

Hello,
Yellowish discharge may sometimes be caused due to infection so using some probiotics and topical antibiotics may help. Fibronectin test is something that looks for the possibility of leakage of the amniotic fluid ahead of time. It can be done earlier than 28 weeks, but before that, even if the test is positive, chances of survival are less . Hence no point doing it earlier.
