What Causes Yellow Discharge After An Intercourse?

I am 54 years old and I have not had sex in over a year. After having unprotected sex in July, I have noticed a thick, yellow discharge to date. It has no smell but I do have to wear a pantyliner as there is a large amount of discharge. Please advise.

Hi,

Thanks for writing to us about it.

Sometime yellow discharge can be a normal finding if it is not associated with a pain, itching and odor.

It can be due to hormonal imbalance.

So please do not worry about it but if it continues for a long and associated with above mentioned symptoms you should consult a gynecologist and get yourself examined and investigated for the same.

Hope it is useful, feel free to ask more.

Good luck.
Regards
Dr.Richa
