What Causes Yellow Color In Eyes With Black Spot?

I have had a bloodshot eye for 2 days. Today, day 3, my eye has yellow in it and a black spot, and the blood has lessened. I am 86 and had aTIA 4 months ago. I am otherwise fine except my balance is problematic. My R.N. granddaughter just told me about the yellow in my eye and the spot. I hadn t seen it myself. My BP is good. I have regular checks at lab as I have kidney disease which has not bothered me. I d just like to know if I should go to Emergecy tonight or wait until morning to contact my optometrist? Thank you.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you had subconjunctival hemorrhage following which you are having a yellow soot.
It can be because of color changes as the blood is getting absorbed in the eye.
No need yo worry about it and it is not a emergency.
Hence I don't feel there is a need to go to emergency department now and you can visit your ophthalmologist tomorrow.

Thank you
