What Causes Whitish Vaginal Discharge While Suffering From Yeast Infection?

I had a yeast infection and bought/used the canesten combi-pak 1 day treatment, I inserted the vanginal tablet last night before bed and today when I went to the washroom I noticed a white chalky looking subtance on my underwear coming from my vangina. Is this normal? How long will it last?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Usually canesten 1 day application has an effect for 3 days. You can wait for 2 more days after that.If no improvement then most likely it is some other infection or bacterial vaginosis. Bacterial vaginosis can be associated with yeast infection also.In such case i advise combination of antibiotic like metronidazole or clindamycin with clotrimazole in form of vaginal suppository or oral tablet.I also recommend my patients to use intimate wash regularly to normalize vaginal bacterial flora and PH and there by prevent getting further infections.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
