What Causes Wheezing With Cough & Loss Of Weight In Teens?

hi my 14 year old boy,had runny nose,weezing,blocked nose,drewling,watery eyes and this barking cough.took him to a doctor gave med s and antibiotics,it s day three all the other symptoms are gone now he lost a lot of weight,has diarrhea and seems very week.what could be the cause. he refuses food and formula occasionaly.gave him rehydrate just to boos his energy level am not sure it s working though.should i be concerned

The barking cough and wheezes responding to antibiotics is most likely a respiratory tract infection. DIarrhoea is mostly the side effect of medicines and lethargy is self explanatory.Rets and wait and see. Get to a pulmonologist to sort out any allergen induced asthma as allergic rhinitis is already there for which simple symptomatic treatment with some recent advancements trial like subcutaneous and sublingual therapies etc should be tried.
Let the pulmonologist decide.
