Hello!
Thank you for asking on HCM!
I read your question and understand your concern.
Her symptoms seem to be related to anxiety. This situation, which she has been through lately is a strong argument in favor of this cause.
It is normal to have this type of
heart rate and blood pressure during the day.
A raise in the heart rate may be caused by anxiety, which increases the levels of catecholamines in blood, causing
tachycardia and blood pressure fluctuations.
I recommend to perform some tests like a 24 hour ECG monitoring (to exclude a possible arrhythmia), a routine
blood test, kidney and liver function tests, thyroid hormone levels, blood electrolytes. I would also advise you to monitor your blood pressure.
If all the above mentioned tests result normal, I recommend you to consult her with a
psychiatrist. An antidepressant and
psychotherapy may be needed.
Hope to have been helpful!
Greetings! Dr. Iliri
