What Causes Vomiting, Dizziness And Fever After Receiving HPV Vaccination?

Hello, my teenage daughter (15yr) had her first HPV vaccine and had fever, body aches, vomiting. After these side effects, I decided not to schedule the remaining vaccine series. Unfortunately, her Dad accompanied her to yearly physical-and she was given round two of the vaccine.(not aware of the initial reaction) The night of the vaccine , she started vomiting, felt dizzy, fever and fatigued Her heart rate dropped to 30 and had very low blood pressure. She has been in and out of the hospital, without a diagnosis? I am confident it is related to the vaccine? Your thoughts would be appreciated

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You re very right, vaccine do have allergic reactions, though these are very rare to be serious. Body aches and fever are common. However if she has low BP and low heart rate, then it's probably serious reaction. You should infirm the health care team, documents and report the incidence, good details of the vaccine, and this all should be mentioned on his card to avoid future mishaps.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
