What Causes Vomiting And Spitting During Pregnancy?

Hi, Im currently 8 weeks pregnant. With my first pregnancy, I spit continuously for the entire 9 months. It's as if I was producing large amunts of spit. It also made me throw up quite a bit..Now I am experiencing the exact same thing. Is there any medication to make it stop that I can be prescribed?

Hello!
First, congratulation for your pregnancy. Hope everything goes fine.
Second, nausea and vomiting (large amount of saliva) are common symptoms during pregnancy due to the levels of HCG (the hormone of pregnancy). These symptoms will calm down after the first trimester has ended.
If you were my patient I would recommend you some simple things like having small amount of fluid intake (take them often but in small amounts), eat what you want to eat (you embryo is too small to need other requirement).
You may take Vitamin B6 after discussing it even with your obstetrician.
Take care and keep in mind that this symptoms will calm down for 1 month.
