What Causes Vomiting And Diarrhea While On Metformin And Glipizide?

Ok I m a diabetic. I m on Metformin an glipizide. Anyhow about every month I m at home have this horable belch and it starts. I vomit hard and diarrhea. I ve miss a lot of work and fill weak. Yes I drink gatoraide and pedilite. My Metformin this month which is generic. It has a horrible smell to it. I m only taking my blood pressure pills. What could it be. I don t have severe stomach pain to r/o gall badder.

Hello,
In my opinion these symptoms may be due to Metformin as it can cause nausea and vomitting as a side effect.
It is advisable to consider taking antacids while on Metformin.
Also maintain adequate hydration
