Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter is almost 11, and has been vomiting at least once a week for the last 2 months. Sometimes she has diarrhea with it and it s straight water. I ve taken her to the Doctor once and they did a culture on her runny diarrhea but it came back negative. When she has the vomiting, she feels bad for about 2-3 hours and then feels fine again. What could this be?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Recurrent vomiting with watery loose motion the child has could be viral infection, worm infestations, or food allergies because her stool culture was clear of bacteria. I feel she should be taken a children specialist for getting physically examined while she has the symptoms. Needful investigations are to be done to pin point the cause followed by specific antibiotic to remove the problem.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
