What Causes Vomiting And Diarrhea Along With Lower Back Pain?

I ve experienced two episodes within 5 days of vomiting and diarrhea accompanied by lower back pain this week. I m also running a low grade fever between 99-100. I had my appendix and gallbladder removed about four years ago so it s not those two items. I ve been dieting on Weight Watchers and ate rich food Saturday which I believe triggered that incident but had another bout of vomiting and diarrhea last night after eating out but ate a salad and pasta.

Ho,
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.com.

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your bowl movements.

As per your history, signs and symptoms it seems to me the episodes for food poisoning, in both the cases you had out side meals that can be the cause. It is not what you eat, it is where you eat.

Regarding the fever, if you took it in evening hours, it is normal, there is no need to worry about it. You must keep yourself hydrated during the episodes of diarrhea and vomiting. In case if severe cramps take antispasmodic medication to receive from pain.

You need to avoid outside foods as you seems to be prone to the food poisoning, in case there is high fever or blood in stools or frequently increased bowl movements you may need a consultation with an Gastroenterologist.

Hope my answer will help you and visit us back if you have any questions further.

Regards
Dr Muzaffer Hussain Parray.
