What Causes Vomiting After Fainting When Suffering From Alzheimer's?

My mother is 67 years old and was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2008 ... She is in her late stages, she is fainting a lot ... Her eyes roll to the back of her head and she collapses usually making suckling noise ... she'll wake up vomiting ... after all of this has happened she is usually back to her normal self (Alzheimer's self). Should there be concern about the vomiting after a fainting episode? The fainting does not happen all the time it just happens every now and then.

Yes, this is concerning. Both the fainting and the vomiting. You need to find out why she is fainting. She could be having seizures or abnormal heart rhythms. Vomiting with fainting can result with aspiration of the vomit into the lungs and a very serious type of pneumonia. I recommend you contact her doctor and get her evaluated. If it happens acutely, I would immediately take her to Emergency to try to figure out what is causing this. Hope this answers your query.
