What Causes Vibrating Feeling In Heart?

I am 62 years old and have had hypertension for over 20 years. I am in reasonably good physical health otherwise. At rest, and at times when in motion, I feel a definite vibration in my heart with sometimes a twinge of slight pain jab in the heart area (to left of center of chest).

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I would explain that your symptoms are not typical of any cardiac disorders.

Anyway, considering your age, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and a routine check-up including a resting ECG and cardiac ultrasound, a chest X-ray study, complete blood count, blood electrolytes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
