Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Spotting in early pregnancy can be due to:
1= ectopic pregnancy
2. Abortion
3. Bleeding around the foetus( subchorionic haemorrhage)
If the gestation sac was visible in uterus, then the ectopic pregnancy is ruled out. Non visibility of gestation sac in subsequent scans can be sign of abortion.
You should get a repeat scan after one week if the spotting stops or the beta hCG levels are high.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
Regards,
Dr Deepti Verma
