What Causes Vaginal Pain During Pregnancy?

I am 36 weeks pregnant and for the past 2 weeks my vagina has been hurting when stand,wlk but more when im laying down . Ived told my O.b but he says its normal and has not checked me down there to see if im even dilating. Is this normal ?

HI.

It is normal, especially as ripening can take place, as you are not too far away from term. I would although still recommend a visit to your doctors office to make sure all is well and if in case you have begun dilating, then your doctor will have to take the call on what will have to be done next (plan delivery soon, or postpone it by using a pessary).
