I have had extreme itching, burning, around my vulva now for several months. My clitoris produces white matter which is very itchy. I thought it was from vaginal discharge (I wear an estrogen patch). Ob/gyn prescribed a salve that burns like crazy (Betameth & Eurax) & has not helped. She says it is Vulvodynia. The only relief I can get is after urinating to pour water on the area & to use Nupercainal to ease the pain & itching. So far this is the only thing that works. However, the clitoris still produces white matter which I have to remove manually; if I don;t, it gets worse. I am a diabetic taking Metformin, Glimeperide, Januvia, Lisinopril, Omeprazole, Vit D3, Iron, B-12, Calcium, & a coated aspirin. DR just put me on Nortriptylin to calm my nerves but it makes me jittery. I am 69. I had surgery in 2007 for repair of Rectocele & vaginal-opening repair. I have experienced pain during intercourse ever since the surgery. I did have my first UTI in 2008. What in your opinion could be causing my problem now? I am at my wits end! and am very distraught that this problem is lasting so long.
