What Causes Vaginal Blisters With Irritation After A Bikini Wax?
My wife and I have been together 10 years. She recently had a bikini wax and now she has small clear blisters on and around her vagina. More in a straight line pattern then a cluster. Her doctor didn t rule out herpes but we are confused. I may get a cold sore once every 2 years or so but we never had oral during that time. Could it just be blisters from irritation
Given the recent bikini wax, it is the most likely explanation for what she is noticing. Removing hairs can be very irritating to the skin and as the hair begins to grow back, some of the hairs can be in-grown and might appear as you describe.
It would be hard to say exactly without looking at the area directly. Herpes is certainly possible as there is viral shedding even in the absence of visible lesions. So, you could have passed oral herpes to the genital area over time.
But herpes blisters are usually very painful. They start as a blister that then opens and the areas crust over. This could easily be sorted out with a viral culture of the fluid from within a blister.
