What Causes Vaginal Bleeding While Being On Progesterone?

Hi I have pcos I take 10mg progesterone for 10 days every month to induce a period I also take metformin 1000mg once a day. I've been on it for about 6 months and its been working until this month I took it and all I had was brown gooey blood clots small in size stringy and only when I wiped and slight cramping and pain in my stomach daily with a little nausea and constipation. Please help me. Thanks tina haskett

I understand your concern.
PCOD is a menstrual disorder with hormonal imbalance.It is characterized by irregular bleeding & abdominal pain off & on. Pain & nausea may follow constipation.
you are taking tab.Progesteron monthly for getting withdrawal bleeding. But this month you had bleeding while taking the pills- because the hormones in your system had already stimulated bleeding,which is possible in PCOD..
I would advise you to consult your doctor about continuation of Progesteron .you can continue with metformin 1000- which specifically treats PCOD.
