What Causes Vaginal Bleeding In Case Of Cervical Cancer?

My mother is in remission after having cervical cancer. She has had bleeding the whole time now her pap has came back bad. Could it be from the lack of cells from all the radiation? She was givin too much radiation they said it was an error the hospital made.

Hello!
I am sorry for your mother and hope she gets well again.
After having a treatment for cervical cancer, the causes of bleeding may be recurrence of the disease (when the disease comes back) or may be due to radiation. If the radiotherapy has not been appropriate then it destroys the healthy tissue and this cause bleeding. I would highly recommend you to go and consult your doctor because in both cases, you should have a gyn-oncologist consultation.
Take care.
