What Causes Vaginal Bleeding During Pregnancy?

Hi, Madam. This is Santanu Sen from west Bengal. My wife is having pregnancy of 11 weeks. In last USG reported as placenta is low laying. before she was having vaginal bleeding two days. Bleeding was not continuous. Moreover it can be stated as normal. Doctor has advised for absolute bed rest. For urine she is using bed pan, but for stool she is going toilet (Indian Toilet). Now vaginal bleeding not there. Could you suggest weather going to the toilet is safe or not?

Hi, thanks for using HCM..
I understand your concern.. Placenta previa is low lying placenta that partially or completely covers the os. Partially covering Placenta previa usually goes up as the pregnancy progresses. Taking bed rest is the only remedy. It would be advisable to use european toilet instead of the indian toilet as it causes more strain to the abdomen. Commodes are available to purchase and that can be used within the room. Take healthy food and lots of fluid.. Avoid constipation. Hope i have answered your queries.. Good day.
